JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) – A Tri-Cities restaurant was part of a long list of businesses offering free services to veterans Wednesday.
Golden Corral offered veterans a free meal Wednesday night. This is the 14th year for the restaurant’s Veterans Day tradition.
The restaurant was packed Wednesday with veterans and their families, enjoying a meal with dozens of other military families.
“”People sharing tables with people from different eras, different branches. Navy, army, marines all serving together its just great camaraderie,” said Chris Gomes, owner of the Golden Corral in Johnson City.
Gomes said Golden Corral was one of the first chain restaurants to offer Veterans Day specials.
