Tennessee state officials are warning people of fraudulent tickets

NASHVILLE, TN (AP) – Tennessee state officials are asking people to be cautious of fraudulent ticket purchasing during the upcoming holiday season.

With numerous games, concerts and other events coming up they’re saying consumers will be looking for discount tickets.

Many people will turn to ticket brokers and the ticket resale market.

The Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance’s Division of Consumer Affairs says there’s a risk of being scammed when people purchase tickets from secondary markets.

One suggestion is to purchase tickets from the official sales agent for the venue.

Another is to check out the seller or broker by looking them up on the Better Business Bureau.
