MORRISTOWN (WATE) – The Hamblen County Sheriff’s office is asking for help finding a suspect who burglarized a Morristown church.

The break-in happened October 10 at Barton Springs Presbyterian Church on East A.J. Highway. Deputies said burglars forced a lock on the fellowship hall door and took audio and electrical equipment.

It is believed the suspect may have also burglarized a church in White Pine and Newport, according to the sheriff’s department. However, deputies said they do not have a suspect description at this time.

Anyone that sees or hears anything suspicious is asked to call Detective Jim Brooks at (423) 585-2777.
