(CNN) – Former Virginia Governor Jim Webb has until the New Year to decide if he will run as an Independent Presidential Candidate.
Aids to the former Governor say he feels “confident” he would be successful he chooses to run.
Webb recently dropped out of the race for the democratic nomination last month.
His team is working to see if he could get enough ballots to get the necessary 270 electoral votes needed to win the election.
Those results will be a deciding factor in whether Webb jumps back into the 2016 race.
