Earthquake in northern Afghanistan rippled into cities across South Asia today

KABUL, AFGHANISTAN (AP) – A 7.7-magnitude earthquake in northern Afghanistan shook cities across South Asia today.

Kabul, New Delhi, and Islamabad felt the strong tremors that rippled through their cities.

People in the Pakistani capital witnessed walls swaying, and people running out of buildings in panic.

Indian Meteorological Department says the quake’s epicenter was in the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan.

The full extent of the damage and possible casualties is not yet known.
