New interchange gets named after former state representative

WASHINGTON COUNTY, TN (WJHL)– A much needed interchange off of interstate 26 in Gray, TN was named in honor of a former state representative today.

Exit 13 on interstate 26 now recognizes the man who championed changing the road. “As state representative, dale was instrumental in working with TDOT and getting funding to bring this project to reality.”

You’ll now notice a sign honoring former state representative, dale ford. Washington county mayor Dan Eldridge presented him with a plaque for being an advocate for improvements in the area.

Mayor Eldridge says the construction on this stretch of interstate 26 is expected to be complete in a matter of days.
