In that time she’s come to accomplish many goals. Those goals include opening the new facility in Johnson City, lowering the euthanasia rate by helping to increase pet adoptions, and being a person of compassion for pet owners in the community- who have to make the difficult decision to put down their pet.

Among the many things that she’s accomplished, Dobbs hopes that people remember her for two distinct things- “saving animals’ lives and making a difference in people’s lives with four-legged family members,” she stated.

Dobbs is set to will retire on January 14th– in honor of her late best-friend, Shirley, who shares a birthday with that date. She says retiring will give her more time to spend with her family, antique car and her horse.
