WASHINGTON COUNTY, TN (WJHL) – Extra patrols in a community hit by several car burglaries pays off for the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
A routine traffic stop in Boones Creek led to the arrest of 18-year-old Maxwell Riesz.
He was first arrested for simple possession, but then a joint investigation between Johnson City police and Washington County investigators helped them identify Riesz as the suspect in a string of car burglaries in the area.
More charges are pending in the case. His bond and arraignment hearing has been set for Friday in sessions court.
