JOHNSON CITY, TN (WJHL) – A man accused in the July 4th, 2014 shooting death of a Johnson City man had his charged increased and his trial date set for February next year.
Moses Ballard was indicted on a charge of second-degree murder in the shooting death of Michael Rowe in 2014.
But another grand jury re-indicted him on a first-degree murder charge in September. A trial date in the case was recently set for February.
Investigators said a fight between Ballard and Rowe ended in gunfire on Myrtle Avenue in Johnson City the night of the shooting.
