JONESBOROUGH (WJHL) – It could be a month before a man accused of killing his parents and aunt in Jonesborough comes back to Tennessee from New Orleans.

Daniel Henry was arrested by federal and local authorities in New Orleans on Saturday evening. He was wanted for three counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of Robert Henry, Melody Henry and Barbara Hammonds, who were found killed in a home on Skyline Road, Jonesborough, early Saturday morning.

Henry initially faced schedule II drug possession, hydrocodone possession and drug paraphernalia possession charges in New Orleans, according to court records.

He was in court Tuesday morning and according to court records he waived extradition back to Tennessee on three counts of first-degree murder.

Louisiana dropped the felony drug charges he was facing.

An extradition hearing was scheduled for Nov. 3, according to court records.

Graybeal sent investigators to New Orleans on Monday. It was not immediately known if they have spoken to Henry.
