George W. Bush makes stop in Tri-Cities

Last week it was Jeb, this week George W. Bush made a trip into the region.

Sullivan County Sheriff Wayne Anderson posted on his personal Facebook page that George W. Bush flew into the Tri-Cities earlier this week and spent the day playing golf for a fundraiser.

Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Leslie Earhart confirmed the agency’s Dignitary Protection Team was used Monday, but would not go into details.

According to the sheriff’s post, Bush arrived at 9:30 in the morning and left at 7:15 that night.

“He’s awesome and I love his family,” Sheriff Anderson said in his Facebook post. “I’m so glad our dignitary protection unit SCSO kept him safe.”
