JCPD: Woman arrested on vehicle theft charges

JOHNSON CITY, TN (WJHL) – Johnson City Police Department officers arrested a woman Thursday, following an investigation into a report of a stolen vehicle.

According to a JCPD news release, officers were called to a Lakeview Drive apartment on a report of suspicious activity and when they arrived, they saw a female running from the scene.

Officers stopped the woman, later identified as Ginger Holtsclaw, 30, of Johnson City, and the stolen vehicle was found in the parking lot of the complex.

Holtsclaw was charged with theft of property over $1,000 and was taken to the Washington County Detention Center, where she was being held on $10,000 bond.

She was scheduled to appear in Sessions Court Friday at 9 a.m.
