Two arrested for prostitution in downtown Bristol

BRISTOL, VA (WJHL) – The Bristol Virginia Police Department Vice squad reports two people have been arrested over the course of a month after numerous complaints of prostitution in the downtown area near State Street.

McCORD,ZACHARY DAVID
Zachary David McCord, 20 of Abingdon, VA

Investigators say on July 21, Zachary David McCord, 20 of Abingdon, VA, solicited an undercover detective and offered $100 for numerous sexual acts to be performed. He was arrested and released on an unsecured bond.

WALTERS,AMY M
Amy M. Walters, 34 of Bristol, VA

Then on August 28, investigators say Amy M. Walters, 34 of Bristol, VA, waved down an undercover detective and offered to perform a number of sexual acts for $100. The money exchanged hands and Walters was arrested and held on a $2000 bond.

McCord and Walters were both charged under VA Code Section 18.2-346 Prostitution, a Class 1 Misdemeanor.
