Carlo Villarreal joins Milligan cycling

MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (Sept. 2, 2015) – Milligan cycling has added a new cyclist, Carlo Villarreal, for the 2015-16 season, announced Head Coach Zack Nave.

The McAllen, Texas, native got into cycling at age 14 when his dad brought him a bike a took him on a 40-mile group ride. From that point on, Villarreal was hooked.

Villarreal brings a wealth of experience and success with him to Milligan. He won the Category 2 race at Lago Vista, the 5 age based state championship in road race, time trial and criterium, and has had multiple top-10 finishes in Belgium, including a first-place finish in Lierde UCl 1.14 kermesse, and a fourth-place finish in Belsele UCl 1.14 kermesse.

Villarreal plans to study business administration at Milligan.

“It is awesome to have Carlo joining out team,” said Nave. “He will bring experience, hard work, dedication and depth to our men’s team.”
