‘Aggressive’ donkey captured in Mt. Juliet

UPDATE: The elusive donkey was captured just after 9 p.m. and taken home, according to Wilson County EMA and Mt. Juliet police.

MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WKRN) – Mt. Juliet police are on the lookout for an unusual suspect Tuesday night: an aggressive donkey named Clarence.

The department took to Twitter to warn residents about the donkey around 8:50 p.m. They said it’s on the loose from a farm at West Division and Main streets.

“Donkeys are generally calm. However, the owner stated that it was extremely aggressive due to it being breeding season, and there is a female donkey on the farm,” Lt. Tyler Chandler told News 2.

The owner advised no one should approach the animal.

Anyone who spots the donkey is urged to contact police at 615-754-2550.
