Vanderbilt University: Employee wanted after chasing supervisor with knife

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Authorities are searching for a Vanderbilt University employee after he allegedly chased his supervisor with a knife.

Thursday morning, after being counseled on a work-related issue, Vanderbilt police say 61-year-old Stephen Mitchell chased his supervisor with a kitchen knife in the dining area of College Halls before leaving the building.

He was spotted driving away from campus.

Mitchell was last seen wearing a white chef coat with black pants.

Anyone who spots the suspect is asked to contact police immediately at 911 or use a blue light phone on campus.
