SAN FRANCISCO (KRON, AP) — There is new word Tuesday night of raw meat now showing up with “superbugs.”

The raw meat, which is the hamburger meat you get from the supermarket, is now showing up with the drug-resistant bacteria.

Government warnings said that eating rare or raw hamburger meat can be a health threat.

These superbugs reportedly are the result of commercially processed beef raised with hormones and antibiotics.

Earlier in August, a Los Angeles-area hospital said that some of its patients contracted an antibiotic-resistant “superbug” that has been linked to a type of medical scope and infected dozens of people around the country.
