JCPD arrest man on auto burglary, theft charges

JOHNSON CITY, TN (WJHL) – Johnson City Police Department officers arrested a man Tuesday, following an investigation into an Aug. 5 auto burglary.

According to a JCPD news release, the auto burglary happened in the early morning hours of Aug. 5 at a home in the 300 block of Bettie Street.

Investigators learned that Brandon Horvath, 27, 1117 Jay St., had been in contact with police at a local gas station after the auto burglary had happened.

Police were able to link Horvath to the incident based on evidence.

Horvath was arrested and charged with auto burglary and theft under $500.

He was taken to the Washington County Detention Center, where he was being held on $11,000 bond.

Horvath was scheduled to appear in Sessions Court Wednesday at 1:30 p.m.
