DUNGANNON, VA. (AP) – Authorities say 32 students have been injured in two school bus wrecks in Virginia.
Augusta County Schools tells multiple media outlets that 20 students from the Churchville area and an adult were injured in an accident on Tuesday morning. The injured were taken to a hospital and five were released. One person was seriously injured and was transferred to another hospital.
Virginia State Police spokeswoman Corinne Geller says the bus ran off the road and hit a tree.
Geller says 12 students were injured on Monday in Scott County when a school bus ran off the road and hit a rock cliff wall. Four students suffered serious injuries and were taken to a hospital.
