Employee at Johnson City trailer park charged with embezzlement

JOHNSON CITY, TN (WJHL) – Johnson City Police Department investigators arrested a woman Tuesday following a report of an embezzlement at Heritage Trailer Park, 2701 S. Roan St. on Aug. 11.

According to a JCPD news release, Betty Baker, 44, 2701 S. Roan St., Lot 5, was an employee of the property management group that manages the park.

Baker allegedly took cash deposits for rent, but did not turn them in to the bank over a two-month period.

According to the release, Baker was arrested at her residence and was charged with theft of property over $1,000.

She was taken to the Washington County Detention Center, where she was being held on $10,000 bond.

Baker was scheduled to be arraigned in Sessions Court Wednesday at 1:30 p.m.
