KINGSPORT, TN (WJHL) – Kingsport Police Department officers arrested two men Monday afternoon to investigate a report of a drug deal taking place in the parking lot of Colonial Heights Pharmacy, 4221 Fort Henry Drive.
According to a KPD news release, when officers arrived, they located Christopher Ryan Dillon, 33, 417 Barnett Drive, Lot No. 25, and Steven Anthony Salyers, 48, 407 McKenzie Drive, Lot No. 10, both of Kingsport, in a black Honda Accord.
An investigation revealed that Dillon and Salyers were in possession of approximately three grams of Alpha PVP or “gravel.”
According to the release, KPD Vice and Narcotics Unit were called to the scene to assist and a search of the vehicle and the suspects, officers found and seized over $6,000 in cash, a small amount of Suboxone, a 9mm semi-automatic pistol and assorted drug paraphernalia consisting of plastic tubing and baggies.
Police also seized the Honda Accord.
Dillon was arrested and charged with possession of a schedule I drug for resale, simple possession of a schedule III drug, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and maintaining a dwelling where drugs are used, distributed or manufactured.
Salyers was arrested and charged with possession of a schedule I drug for resale, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and being a fugitive from justice.
Both Dillon and Salyers were taken to the Kingsport City Jail pending their arraignment.
