Bristol, Va., police searching for Cookout restaurant robber

BRISTOL, VA (WJHL) – Police in Bristol, Va., were seeking the public’s help in locating a man who robbed a city restaurant early Sunday morning.

According to police, an employee of Cookout, 3128 Lee Highway, Bristol, Va., described the robber as a white man dressed all in black and wearing a black ski mask. He had a large caliber handgun with him when he confronted that employee outside the building just before 7 a.m. The man forced the employee back into the restaurant and got an undetermined amount of cash before leaving.

Police and a K-9 searched the area but nothing was found.

No injuries were reported. Anyone with information about the robbery was asked to call police at 276-645-7400.
