MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) – Prosecutors in Memphis, Tennessee, say the ex-con who’s accused of killing a Memphis police officer over the weekend has turned himself in to federal authorities, ending a two-day manhunt.
A spokesman for the U.S. attorney’s office says Tremaine Wilbourn turned himself over at the federal building.
His family was with him.
Wilbourn is accused of shooting Officer Sean Bolton on Saturday night when the officer interrupted a drug deal.
He’s facing a charge of first-degree murder.
