Yee-Haw, White Duck Taco Shop to open Thursday in downtown Johnson City

If you’re hungry, thirsty or just looking for a space to hang out with friends, Yee-Haw Brewing Company will officially open its taproom doors late tomorrow morning.

According to a Yee-Haw news release, the brewing company – formerly the Eastern Tennessee & Western North Carolina (ET&WNC) depot or Tweetsie Depot — will open at 11:30 a.m.

“We knew this building was something special the first time we saw it,” Joe Baker, founding partner, said. “Our goal was to restore it to its former glory, while as the same time making it a warm, unique, comfortable place where people can gather with family and friends, and just relax. I think we’ve accomplished exactly that.”

Alongside the taproom’s opening, Asheville-based White Duck Taco Shop will also open Thursday.

According to the release, the restaurant offers a variety of “global-fusion tacos.”

Both the taproom and White Duck Taco Shop will be open at 11:30 a.m. Monday-Sunday, with last orders for food at 9 p.m. and doors closing at 10 p.m.
