Favre returns to Lambeau for Packers Hall of Fame induction

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) – Brett Favre has returned to Lambeau Field, where the Green Bay Packers will be inducting their former MVP quarterback into the team’s Hall of Fame on Saturday night.

It’s the culmination of a long reconciliation between Favre and the Packers.

Favre’s No. 4 jersey will also be retired in a ceremony inside Lambeau. More than 67,000 people are expected to watch in the stadium bowl on video boards.

Favre played 16 seasons in Green Bay. He is credited with leading the revival of the franchise in the 1990s.

But Favre and the Packers had a messy split in 2008 following after uncertainty over whether Favre would retire. He later played with the Jets and the Vikings.

But Saturday was all about the glory years in Green Bay.
