WASHINGTON COUNTY, VA (WJHL) – A fugitive from justice out of Bristol, Tenn. was arrested Wednesday, after deputies were called to a home on Safari Drive on a call of possible shots fired.
When deputies arrived, they found a woman sitting on a rooftop of a two-story home.
An investigation revealed that shots had not been fired and that the woman had taken a cinderblock and thrown it through the window of the home.
The woman had sustained cuts while entering the home and made her way through the home onto the rooftop.
Warrants were obtained for Brittany Rogers, 23, 204 Lovesdale Drive of Bristol, Tn., charging her with breaking and entering and felony vandalism.
Deputies learned that a second individual, Matthew Charles Gemmell, 39, of Bristol, Va., was also present at the residence.
Gemmell was a fugitive from justice out of Bristol, Tn. on a violation of probation charge.
He was arrested and was taken to the Southwest Regional Jail in Abingdon, Va.
