GREENE COUNTY, TN ( WJHL) – A Greene County commissioner will receive 11 months and 29 days probation for a charge of patronizing prostitution.

Hilton Seay, who has been a commissioner in the county for many years, entered what’s known as an Alford plea for the charge, which was placed against him in March. According to a court document, Seay was accused of soliciting a woman with the intent to engage in prostitution.

The Alford plea entered Thursday does not mean that Seay admitted guilt, rather he acknowledged the government had enough evidence to get a possible conviction.

He also was ordered to have no contact with the victim or their family.

After Seay’s probationary period, his record could be expunged.
