Victims identified in fatal Greene County house fire

GREENEVILLE, TN (WJHL) –  The Greene County Sheriff Office confirmed the identities of two people killed in a house fire in Greeneville Friday.

Sisters Dianne McGhee, 67, and Linda Inscore, 63, were identified as the victims in the house fire, according to a Greene County Sheriff’s Office report.

According to Greene County dispatch, a call came in at 3:48 p.m. of entrapment in a house fire at 360 Kelley Gap Road, with two people listed as unaccounted for.

According to a sheriff’s office report, McGhee reportedly ran to a nearby neighbor’s home to tell her to call 911 because her house was on fire, and then ran back into her home saying “my sister is inside.”

The women were found in a bedroom of the home and were later pronounced dead.
