Locals got the chance to travel back in time, to the late 1800’s, Saturday.
Gun fights, sing along’s, and drinks at the saloon. It all took place in Historic Blountville as a part of Old West Days.
Actors got as close as you can to an 1870’s and 1880’s Western reenactment.
“It gives the citizens an opportunity to actually explore what they would’ve actually seen during that time period,” said Western actor Kent Arnold of Church Hill. “The actual historical significance during that time period is unique to the American experience, the Western experiences.”
A similar reenactment will happen in two weeks in Appalachia, Virginia.
