Johnson City Police Department officers arrested a man Wednesday, following a report of a domestic disturbance at an apartment on Ketron Lane.
According to a JCPD news release, officers were dispatched to the apartment, where they were told that Bernard Johnson, 27, was arguing with his girlfriend when the argument turned physical.
Johnson reportedly grabbed the woman by the hair, held a knife to her throat and threatened to kill her.
The owner of the apartment stopped Johnson and pushed him out of the door.
Johnson then broke a window to the neighbor’s apartment and police were called.
He was arrested and charged with domestic aggravated assault.
Johnson was taken to the Washington County Detention Center, where he was being held on $50,000 bond.
He was scheduled to be arraigned in Sessions Court Thursday.
