“We are honored to have The United Company Charitable Foundation, The James W. and Frances G. McGlothlin Foundation and The McGlothlin Foundation’s unprecedented support,” Leah Ross, BCM executive director, said. “Each of these foundations have a strong legacy of supporting local nonprofits in Southwest Virginia and Northeast Tennessee, and their partnership with the Birthplace of Country Music is exceptional. It is also a testament to the first class museum that we opened last year, and the impact the museum left on members of the three foundations after visiting the museum.”

The $1 million donation will be given over the next three years.
