Johnson City Police Department officers arrested two people on multiple charges, following a report of a disturbance at a home on Tulip Street.
According to a JCPD news release, officers responded to the home and an investigation revealed that Coby E. Carson, 19, 404 Welbourne St., had come to the home to get his girlfriend to leave with him.
Family members of the girlfriend didn’t want her to leave and an argument occurred.
Another man, Jacob T. Bradshaw, 19, 358 Set Point Private Drive in Piney Flats, came with Carson.
Carson identified himself as Matthew Liar to police, as others at the home called him Coby Carson. He was arrested until he was positively identified, and he attempted to resist and a brief struggle occurred.
Bradshaw started to run away, but officers were able to apprehend him.
A pharmaceutical container with two small bags of a white powdery substance believed to be MDMA was found on Bradshaw.
According to the release, a gun had been fired before police arrived and officers and a K9 Unit found a .22 semi-auto pistol where Bradshaw had been standing when police arrived.
Clothing and a pair of shoes were also found and reportedly belonged to Carson.
A digital scale and a small bag with a small amount of the same white powdery substance believed to be MDMA were found inside the shoes.
Over $700 in cash, a firearm and illegal drugs were seized by police.
