Fire truck donated to Sullivan East for new class

North Carolina firefighters made a special delivery in Sullivan County Tuesday – one that will help Tri-Cities students become firefighters.

North Carolina firefighters made a special delivery in Sullivan County Tuesday – one that will help Tri-Cities students become firefighters.

Firefighters from Maiden, N.C. donated and delivered a fire truck to Sullivan East High School, which will in turn kickstart a new program to help train students in a new fire science class at the high school.

Students who complete the required training and courses will be able to achieve Firefighter I certification, as well as a hazardous materials certification.
