KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — We’re just 75 days from football time in Tennessee, and as you all know, those who support Big Orange football can’t wait.
That list includes Volunteers legend, Peyton Manning.
he started Monday over at the Fox Den Country Club in Farragut for the 18th annual East Tennessee Children’s Hospital Peyton Manning Golf Classic.
There was another great turnout for an event which benefits the children’s hospital and Manning’s Peyback Foundation.
No question, Peyton’s proud of the work his foundation’s doing. He’s also proud to represent the people who follow his career so closely.
“Tennessee folks truly keep up with players that played here, whether you were from here or not,” Manning said. “I’m from New Orleans, but I feel very much like a Tennesseean, and there’s always that connection.”
Manning didn’t just appear at his golf tournament. He handed out four scholarships to a group of UT freshmen, and he met up and worked out with the football team.
