Kingsport Police Department officers arrested a man they said robbed a K-Mart pharmacy last Friday.
According to a KPD news release, officers responded to Olive Garden, 1919 N. Eastman Road in Kingsport, in reference to an intoxicated man at the restaurant.
When they arrived, officers located Tyler J. Holly, 23, 701 Gravely Road, and a records check reveal he had two outstanding Sullivan County warrants for possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia and violation of probation.
During a search, officers found prescription drugs, consistent with those taken from the K-Mart pharmacy, on his person.
Holly was charged with aggravated robbery and was taken to the Kingsport City Jail.
He was later transferred to the Sullivan County jail, where he was being held on both the aggravated robbery and other pre-existing charges. Holly’s bond was set at $25,000.
Kingsport Police Department officers are currently searching for a suspect in an armed robbery that happened at a store pharmacy Friday.
According to a KPD news release, officers responded to K-Mart, 1805 E. Stone Drive, after a reported armed robbery at the store’s pharmacy.
An investigation revealed that the man reportedly threatened pharmacy employees with what was believed to be a handgun and demanded specific prescription medications.
The man then left the store with an undetermined type and quantity of prescription medications.
KPD detectives responded to the scene and surveillance video showed a man, possibly in his twenties, with dark hair and some facial hair, wearing a red hat, a long-sleeved white T-shirt, a black vest, baggy dark-colored jeans and dark-colored shoes.
