JCPD arrest teen on burglary, theft charges

Johnson City Police Department officers arrested a man Monday, after responding to a burglary in progress at a home on Poplar Street.

According to a JCPD news release, when officers arrived at the home, they made contact with the homeowner who said she saw her former neighbor – Glen E. Dalton, 18, of Johnson City, leave her property.

Following an investigation, all of the stolen property was found in a home adjacent to the home that was burglarized.

Dalton was located and charged with aggravated burglary, theft of property over $1,000 and violation of order of protection.

He was taken to the Washington County Detention Center, where he was being held on $31,000 bond.

Dalton was scheduled to appear for his arraignment in Sessions Court Tuesday at 1:30 p.m.
