Elizabethton Police Department officers arrested a man, following a stabbing at a Gas n Go on Broad Street Monday morning.
According to an EPD news release, officers responded to the gas station around 11:30 a.m., where they located the stabbing victim on the sidewalk area in the front, with a stab wound to the lower abdominal area.
The suspect, Christopher Dishman, 25, 125 School House Road in Elizabethton, was arguing with the victim, which resulted in Dishman stabbing the victim.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Witnesses told police that Dishman left the area on foot.
Dishman was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
He was scheduled to appear in Carter County Sessions Court Aug. 10.
