KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — It’s dream chasing season on the baseball diamond. The MLB Draft is ongoing, and all-star games are wrapping around the area. That rundown includes Science Hill’s Landon Knack.
The Toppers’ first baseman is signing to play at Walters State, and Saturday he was one of a number of locals representing in the first Smoky Mountain All-Star Classic.
The game was a showcase of East Tennessee baseball’s best, and the opportunity to play at Smokies Stadium in Knoxville and with the guys he’s played against all this time was pretty special for Knack.
“It’s pretty cool,” he said. “It’s one of the nicest fields I’ve been able to play on yet, and it’s an honor to be able to be around all that great players that I’ve come to know in the last couple years and play against. It’s pretty fun to be here.”
