Federal authorities returned to Bristol Virginia Utilities yesterday as part of their ongoing public corruption investigation, according to a spokesperson for the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Wednesday’s visit comes a little more than a month after the feds spent an entire week at BVU. The federal investigation, which is separate from a state investigation into the public utility, has already resulted in guilty pleas for two former BVU vice presidents and two former contractors.
BVU’s new CEO previously told us since he arrived in November the utility has cooperated will the investigation, even providing office spaces and conference rooms to investigators as needed.
