Storm Team 11 Chief Meteorologist Mark Reynolds has been with WJHL for 30 years.

Mark provides your workday weather forecasts on News Channel 11 Monday through Friday at 5, 5:30, 6 and 11 pm. He also provides weather to and manages News Channel 11’s 24-hour digital weather channel.

Mark holds the CBM (Certified Broadcast Meteorologist) designation from the American Meteorological Society. This is the highest mark of distinction and recognition available in broadcast meteorology.

Mark attended Florida State University. Mark has been very active with the American Meteorological Society. He served as Board Chairman for the Board on Outreach and Pre-College Education 2003-2004. He was a member of the AMS Board on Outreach and Pre-College Education from 2001-2003. He also served as an advisor to the AMS Board on Outreach and Pre-College Education in 2005. He was a member of the AMS Industry Minority Scholarship Committee from 2003-2005. He was a member of the AMS Battan Award Committee from 2003-2005. Mark was also a member of the AMS Charles Anderson Award Committee from 2003-2005. Mark has also been very active in our local community.

He served on the American Red Cross of Washington County, Tennessee, Advisory committee and was instrumental in starting the first and second Red Cross Health Fair in the Tri-Cities. He worked extensively with the March of Dimes for more than ten years.

Mark has presented thousands of school presentations over the last 30 years throughout our community. Mark’s broadcast career has been over the southeast, with stops in Gainesville, Jacksonville and Tallahassee Florida.

He has been honored with numerous awards, including, Best TV Weather Anchor by the Tennessee Associated Press in 2007 along with Best Weathercast by the Tennessee Associated Press in 2000. Mark is an avid aviation enthusiast and enjoys the mountains and the beach.
