Anna Zook

Anna Zook

You can catch Anna Zook bright and early where she anchors News Channel 11’s weekday morning show starting at 4:30 a.m. Anna came to News Channel 11 in September 2013 from South Dakota.

During her time in the Midwest, Anna covered a variety of news ranging from fires blazing through the Black Hills, local military stories, and of course the famous Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

Originally from just outside of Seattle, Anna is probably one of the few people who is not an avid coffee drinker, however she did learn to love the rain and the Seahawks. To pursue her passion of journalism, Anna left the Pacific Northwest for the Rocky Mountains to attend the University of Colorado at Boulder where she majored in broadcast journalism and minored in history.

While at CU, Anna was honored with an Emmy Award for Anchor in an Outstanding Student Newscast. Anna is a huge college sports fan so you can always find her wearing her black and gold gear to cheer on the Buffs!

When Anna’s not behind the desk you can find her hiking, attempting to whip up something in the kitchen, and exploring the Tri-Cities. Anna loves the opportunity to share someone’s unique story and meet people in the community so if you have a story idea or just want to say “Hi!” feel free to email her at azook@wjhl.com or follow her on Twitter or Facebook.
